STUDENT OUTREACH
MABA’s Student Outreach Program
The Mexican American Bar Association (“MABA”) is a professional organization whose mission is to empower the Latino community. Our membership is comprised of law students, attorneys, mediators, judges, and others in the legal community in Los Angeles County. MABA organizes several events to carry out its mission including Community Legal Fairs and visits to Los Angeles County schools and youth organizations.
The goal of MABA’s Student Outreach Program is to expose young people to Latino and diverse law students, attorneys, and judges who can share personal stories that resonate with students from diverse backgrounds. We hope that by sharing our stories, we can inspire students of all ages to pursue higher education and consider a career in law. Since 2015, MABA’s Student Outreach Program has reached over 1,000 students at over a dozen schools and youth organizations throughout Los Angeles.
If you would like MABA members to present to your classroom or program to share their professional and academic trajectories, please email Committee Chairs: Michael Feliz at michaelfelix@entertainmentvisa.com and Magdalena Casas at president@mabaattorneys.com with the subject “Student Outreach Program.”
Please include the possible date(s) for the presentation, the number of speakers requested, and the location of the presentation. While we will make every effort to accommodate requests, we cannot guarantee speakers for presentations requested on short notice.
